HMG Paints’ Managing Director John Falder’s art exhibition, entitled “Paintings from a Lifetime of Paint,” – his first – will open at the Oriel Ger Y Fenai Gallery in Anglesey on June 12.

Falder is a third-generation paintmaker in Manchester at HMG Paints, and in Bethesda at Bradite and Little Greene.

“More than anything else, I want people to enjoy the pictures and let them speak to you of memories of the local area,” he said. “My pictures are memories and stories mainly centered around Anglesey and Snowdonia. Each painting is inspired by a particular time, event and place and trying to capture a specific moment.”

The Oriel Ger Y Fenai Gallery exhibits the work of North Wales artists including the work of Sir Kyffin Williams, William Selwyn, Wilf Roberts, Philip Snow and many more.

2021 marked Falder’s 45th year at HMG Paints – including 30 of those years as managing director.
