Ørsted has awarded Taylor Hopkinson with a framework agreement to supply contract personnel for its Gode Wind 3 and Borkum Riffgrund 3 offshore wind projects in Germany.
Under the deal, Taylor Hopkinson will provide personnel across a broad range of roles within the allocated lots, from construction, engineering and O&M to project management and commissioning.
The agreement commenced on 1 March 2021 and will run until 2025.
“We are delighted to continue our collaboration with Ørsted to supply project personnel in Germany. Our mission has always been to act as a catalyst to our clients achieving their own goals and we know this requires dedication, commitment and focused resources and processes,” said Donna Ellcock, Director, Offshore Wind Contract at Taylor Hopkinson.
“We will carry this mindset into all our recruitment activities in order to attract and retain the right professionals for Ørsted’s upcoming projects, whilst ensuring the health, safety and welfare of our contractors.”
Both Borkum Riffgrund 3 and Gode Wind 3 will feature Siemens Gamesa 11.0-200 DD turbines.
Ørsted expects the installation of the 242 MW Gode Wind 3 to begin in 2023, with commissioning being completed in 2024. The installation of the 900 MW Borkum Riffgrund 3 is expected to begin in 2024, with commissioning in 2025.
