TESLAN® 1101 Zinc CNT Primer

ZN-CNT Low VOC Epoxy Primer

Product Description

TESLAN® 1101 ZN-CNT LOW VOC EPOXY PRIMER is a solvent-based, two-component, Zinc/CNT epoxy primer designed for the protection of steel and metallic substrates. This product incorporates carbon nanotubes (CNTs) together with sacrificial zinc for enhanced durability and maximized corrosion inhibition.

The power of CNTs imbue the epoxy primer with adhesion properties that place it in a class all its own. In both internal and third-party pull-off adhesion testing, the bond between TESLAN® 1101 and the test substrate routinely outlasts the high-grade industrial adhesives that are standard for the testing method.

TESLAN® 1101 ZN-CNT LOW VOC EPOXY PRIMER can be directly top-coated utilizing Tesla NanoCoatings’ patented 2 x 1 WET EDGE process with or without a stripe coat application.

TESLAN® 1101 (ISO 12944-9) ZN-CNT LOW VOC EPOXY PRIMER is a NORSOK M501 tested solvent-based, two-component, Zinc/CNT epoxy primer designed for the protection of steel and metallic substrates in harsh environments per ISO 12944-9 including CX, IM4, tidal & splash zones.

This product incorporates carbon nanotubes (CNTs) together with sacrificial zinc for enhanced durability and maximized corrosion inhibition.

Combined with the power of CNTs, this zinc primer is able to provide unbeatable cathodic protection to steel platforms and structures in harsh offshore settings. No other zinc primer on the market displays the same durability and corrosion resistance as TESLAN®.

TESLAN® 1102 ZN-CNT LOW VOC EPOXY PRIMER is a solvent-based, two-component, Zinc/CNT epoxy primer designed for the protection of steel and metallic substrates.

This is Tesla NanoCoatings’ second-generation Zinc-CNT primer. This primer improves upon the features of TESLAN® 1101 to offer lower temperature curing down to as low as 40°F.

This product incorporates carbon nanotubes (CNTs) together with sacrificial zinc for enhanced durability and maximized corrosion inhibition.

NORSOK Tested and ISO 12944-9 Epoxy Primers

TESLAN® epoxy primer products are available in formulations that adhere to both ISO 12944-9 standards and NORSOK M501 testing standards alike.

NORSOK is a set of testing standards developed by the Norwegian Oil Industry Association and Federation of Norwegian Manufacturing Industries with the purpose of facilitating maximum safety and efficiency of coating systems for the petroleum industry. NORSOK M501in particular is focused the properties of zinc primer coating systems for use in offshore applications.

Similarly, ISO 12944-9 is a testing standard developed by the International Organization for Standardization for evaluating the effectiveness and properties of offshore coating systems for steel structures.

These two sets of standards are recognized across the globe as some of the highest marks of quality that a protective coating system can bear. Tesla NanoCoatings is proud to provide a range of protective coating products tested to the rigorous standards set by both NORSOK M501 and ISO 12944-9.
